Join Deirdre McMurdy as she shares and links her experiences to our theme “The New Prosperity: Building Prosperity Through Education.” Deirdre is one of Canada’s most respected business journalists and promises to generate a great discussion on prosperity, what it is, how can it be measured and how education is a key component to any type of prosperity.
What are the learning objectives?
We all want success! Many of us measure success by our prosperity. However, during
this economical challenging time prosperity is being redefined! It’s more than just
material possessions or money; it’s moving toward achieving a balance in
life that encompasses many forms of success: personal; professional; and overall
wellness. This year’s NMID theme is: “The New Prosperity: Building Prosperity Through Education.”
Deirdre McMurdy and our 3 member panel
will teach you how to acquire this prosperity by introducing and discussing various tools
that will help you succeed and meet your goals. One way to achieve your goals is to
develop an educational plan. Education, life long and continuous learning are key to
achieving success.
Participants will learn how to:
- build an educational plan that will lead to achieving the “new” prosperity;
- identify the skills required to meet your objectives: MPI’s Skills Assessment Tool;
- put your plan into action; and
- self-assess your progression toward achieving your educational plan.
How are we going to meet these learning objectives?
By investigating the pillars of prosperity participants will take part in discussions that will teach them how to create their own educational plans.
Learn about prosperity and success by asking yourself the following questions:
- Relationships: How do we become more prosperous vis a vis enhancing and advancing personal relationships and how others view us? How do we work with these relationships to help build a stronger and more prosperous community?
Organizations: During these economic times long valued business relationships may have been lost or put on hold until an economic upturn comes into play. How do we maintain these relationships? Enhance existing ones? Create new ones? How do we continue to promote prosperity within our own organizations?
Wellness: At a time when New Year’s resolutions have been thought out and their plans of attack been established overall wellness is always a goal. What types of prosperity fall within this goal? Intellectual; Educational; Physical; Emotional; Financial etc…
The answer is education! Join our keynote speaker and panelists as they discuss
