NMID 2012
National Meeting and Industry Day will take place on Thursday April 19th 2012.
When our committee met in September to start planning for NIMD 2012 we really weren’t sure where we were going with our thoughts on how to bring something interesting to the table. A topic that would interest colleagues; members; and non-members alike. While all of us were throwing out ideas to the other – the trend of “knowing where we’re going” and more importantly “knowing how to get there” became prevalent and the word compass was offered up as a possibility. As the conversation unfolded the discussions of generational; educational; and organizational differences came to light. How could we provide an educational forum where all of these different groups could come together to discuss the future and how it is unfolding from a personal and professional perspective? With that goal being confirmed our theme: “Destination Future: Resetting your Meeting and Events Compass” came to fruition. Ask yourself what does that statement mean to you!
